"The Mysterious Victorian Impressionist" - Complete series
This series was created with original shots taken by me inside “Assassin’s Creed Unity” with Frans Bouma Camera Tool for capturing the ingame images (link) and Corel Painter 2022 to transform them in Impressionistic paintings.
I needed to capture images of Victorian London to create impressionist paintings. So I thought about using AC Unity (by Ubisoft) and walking around the streets of 1868 London and taking pictures. The exciting thing about this system is that you have an accurate reconstruction of the era at your disposal. The city is alive, with people going about their business, carriages whizzing through the streets and boats moving along the Thames.
I started using video games as photographic sets especially during the 2020 lockdown and this technique immerses you in worlds, places, eras and situations that cannot be replicated in the real world.
This is the great power of Game Photography.
