Zany Days
About 30 years ago I bought a book.
It was "Zany Afternoons" by Canadian illustrator Bruce McCall and my jaw dropped at the beauty and irony of its images.
McCall, since that day, has influenced the way I view art and consider it more lightly and above all fun. I grew up with a father who was a painter, and from an early age I loved going to exhibition openings, but the thing I remember most is precisely that irony and lightheartedness of when artists of the time met.
I believe that art should not be boring and Bruce McCall is one of its heralds.
This is my homage to McCall.
I had always been trying to vaguely emulate his style.
